How does the URL on incoming call feature work?

In the CallControl Preferences you can set two types of URLs to open, if you receive an incoming call:

1. URL on incoming call

2. URL on click into Growl notification

This feature may can you working with any web based backend you might need to process the calls you receive at your workplace.

"Open URL on incoming call" will request the URL you insert into the text field each time you receive an incoming call. The request it sent in background.

"Open URL on click into  Growl" will request the URL you insert into the text field each time you click into the Growl notification when receiving an incoming call.

CallControl automatically appends the number of the incoming call to the URL you insert into the text field.

Example for a PHP backend:
You insert into "Open URL on incoming call" : http://myserver.com/backend/index.php?name=Joe&number=

If you receive an incoming call from: 014577544214

CallControl will request the following URL in background: You insert: http://myserver.com/backend/index.php?name=Joe&number=014577544214

In your backend you can access $_GET['name'] and $_GET['number']

This way you can process the number of the incoming call AND a lot more variables you can statically define in the textfield (in this example the name of the person receiving the call).

Another example for a PHP backend:

You insert into "Open URL on click into  Growl": http://myserver.com/crm/findcustomer.php?agent=1055&number=

If you receive an incoming call from: 014577544214 a Growl notification will pop up. If you click into the Growl notification your web browser will open up and request: http://myserver.com/crm/findcustomer.php?agent=1055&number=014577544214

In your backend you can access $_GET['agent'] and $_GET['number'].
